Photograph of a Lady Vacuuming

In the Times newspaper today, there was a phoptograph of an attractive lady vacuuming her carpet in her barefeet.

This was perhaps a little unusual. Generally, photographs of attractive ladies doing housework have them wearing high-heeled shoes.

This is not very realistic. While not everyone agrees with me that wearing shoes whne doing housework defeats the object, very few women do housework in high-heeled shoes.

Any ladies who do housework in heels want to argue with me?

LOL

Now that's a realistic commercial.

And no, I do not do any housework with my heels. I don't do anything around the house with my heesl. Slippers all they way...or just socks, but then my socks get dirty, yep, slippers all the way!

Hi Matt. It's me, Dorothys mom, Camille. The Lord wanted me to learn yet another lesson of grace, because the first ten thousand still haven't grown deep enough roots yet. This weekend my husband and I were invited to spend the weekend with two other Christian couples at their time share vacation condo for the weekend. They brought everything but a vacume cleaner so they requested that we remove our shoes while in the house during the WHOLE WEEKEND! Yes, we removed our shoes with kindness and grace. What can I say? God is so good. I love the way He works. He teaches me about grace and gives me the opportunity to be humbled, in love. Thank you for your prays for me, He heard you. I hear you also. Bless you Matt.

Sarah, I mostly wear dark socks, so they never get dirty.

Camille, thanks a lot for visiting and for sharing that.

I wear bright red high heels when I vacuum. Do you believe me?

I thought you might, Rose~. You are the very ideal of 1950s womanhood.

LOL, Rose you are too funny!!!

*chuckle* I can't picture that, Rose.

I have no arguements. I do everything in bare feet - even at work! People sometimes look at me weird like I'm some barefoot hippie... oh, wait... LOL

I go barefoot indoors in Summer.

Barefeet are not ideal for carpets, as the oils on your feet are acidic. However, barefeet are much kinder to carpets than shoes.

Matthew, you will certainly appreciate Heaven and its streets of gold.

No carpets to stain!

Indeed, Sarah.

But who could walk in such an holy place in their shoes?

God Bless

Matthew

Good point! I seriously doubt we will be wearing shoes.

Maybe we weill have feet like Jesus...brass feet, how cool!

Dyspraxic Fundamentalist said...

Maybe, Sarah.

Henry Morris, in his commentary on Revelation, suggests that our Lord's brass feet are boots. That seems a silly thought. Does Christ need to protect His feet with boots in heaven?

God Bless

Rev 1:15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace.

Boots!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, that is silly. Paul saw his feet, not boots!

Isa 52:7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!

NOT BOOTS. LOL

*chuckle* Sarah, you are so funny! I can just hear you laughing!

The oils in my feet are acidic? Goodness... but my feet are as dry as sandpaper.

Dyspraxic Fundamentalist said...

I am glad you found that funny, Sarah.

Perhaps Henry Morris thought they were boots because our Lord's face is white not brass.

Carey, I suppose that is because your feet have hardened form walking outside barefoot so much.

God Bless

Carey said...

Yeah, that's exactly what happened. I have hobbit feet (minus the hair). Occasionally I attempt to groom them, but I see no point, since feet are solely for walking on... lol, no pun intended.

Carey, I am sure your feet are as nice as the rest of you.
