Vietnamese Family in Worcester

The local newspaper had an article today about a Vietnamese family who had come to Worcester as refugees. They had prospered and were now a part of the community.

I was glad to see in the photograph that the family were all in their socks. They had presumably not abandoned the Vietnamese custom of removing shoes at the door.

So you're not the only one in Worcester. That's good to know, although one might wish that they were there for happier reasons, but it is good that they are part of the community now.

(My word verification says "wobbles", which has to be the first time I've seen a real word on there!)

Or maybe they have been stomping about their house in shoes for years, that is until last week, when they had a new carpet fitted.

Or maybe not.

God Bless

Let's just give them the benefit of the doubt, shall we?
