I finally got one while I was in Japan

One of the things I brought back from Japan was a shoes-off sign for my bedroom door.

The sign has a picture of some shoes in a crossed circle. The writing is in Japanese. It says 'wearing shoes in here is prohibited.'

Of course, it is my parents house, so if they want to come in my room with shoes on, I cannot stop them.

If I had any friends visit, I would ask them not to wear shoes in my bedroom. However, I do not entertain visitors often and when I do, they seldom enter my bedroom.

You can keep it for when you have your own place.

Sarah, 'awesome' sounds a strong word. That exciting?

Rich, we shall see. I do not think the sticky adhesive will work a second time.

Did you get a shoes-off sign in the end, Rich?

It is exciting! You've always wanted to have one, and the Lord sent you to Japan to work for Him, and He got you a shoes-off sign. I think it's worthy of an "awesome"!

No where would I be able to get one in the U.K.?

Sarah, I hate to dampen your excitement, but I was not that keen to get hold of one. I was pleased to find it, though I do not really need it and I am not sure I would want a shoes-off sign if I had my own place. I am not sure they are all that polite. Though this one being in Japanese would have a humour element to it.

However, as you imply, it was wonderful that God enabled me to visit a country where shoes-off was the norm. I had a quite wonderful time.

Rich, I have never seen them on sale in the UK< though I dare say some place would sell them.

There are lots of them on sale on the internet, but you would need an internationally recognised credit card. I had wondered whether you were keen enough to have hunted one down.

God Bless

Matthew

Which websites would be the best to look for them?

Hey, now you are testing me.

I have never searched for them, but when carrying out searches on this subject, I do come across them.

I am afraid you are going to have to use Google for this.
