More Home Viewers

Another family came to view the house today.

As usual, the estate agent asked them to remove their shoes. I am really glad he does this.

I like the way he makes the request he says:

'Are you alright with shoes-off?'

That is a really polite way of asking. If they are not alright with it (for whatever reason) they can say so. but more likely they will be alright with it. So far nobody has refused.

Pleased to hear that everyone is taking it so well.

Yes, it is good.

My parents will be moving out soon. The house has still not sold so I will possibly be living here on my own for a while.

Seeing as I will be the sole caretaker, I might make the house a shoeless house.

God Bless

What do you mean by "MIGHT make it"?! One would have thought that it would be one of your first priorities.

Okay, 'might' is something of an understatement.

But it is not my house, so it seems more polite not to be too definite about planning how to manage it.

People who have visited before will have to adjust to the change.

In any case, the house could sell in a week or so; we have somebody else visiting on Thursday.

Hope you manage to sell it and that the new owners adopt a shoes off policy in it.

There is a slight conflict of interest here.

I do not want the house to sell too soon.

When it sells, I will have to move somewhere else. At the moment, I am not working, just studying. I will have to either get a job fast or move to Sussex with my old folks, where I do not really want to live.

God Bless
