Quite right that the same rules should apply to everyone, no matter who they are. Similarly, everybody should take off their shoes (or at least offer to do so) when visiting someone else's home

She probably has to take off her shoes when visiting the yachts of her millionaire friends. Though apparently she wore high heels on her own yacht (unthinkable).

I have heard she does like to wear slippers at home though.

It's not acceptable that she wears high heels on her own yacht.

If she does take off her shoes on friends' yachts, I'm sure that they need to be kept securely given how much they are worth!

Newspaper or internet news I think. Some celebrity type interview.

Well heels can really mess up the deck of a yacht. It does not show much regard for her own property.

I do not think rich people generally behave like that.

Yes. But I doubt it is easy to access a yacht on which Mrs. Beckham is staying.
