Thanks for posting the article. How's your lodger settling in? Does she always take off her shoes in teh house and has she said anything about it (i.e. your shoes off policy)?

Shoe removal has become more common around Chicago. Especially with the snow and ice at this time of year.

Richyrich, I am getting on fine with her and she always takes her shoes off when she comes in.

As I said, she expects her own lodger in Manchester to do the same.

JB, yes, I gather that from various things I have read online.
