Very thoughtful

I was helping out at church today, cooking breakfast at the Dads and Toddlers meeting.

The church gardener was working outside. He was invited to come in and have some tea and a bacon sandwich. He removed his shoes before entering the church, so as not to bring in mud. I thought that was very thoughtful of him.

I have recently purchased a new home with my wife. She chose white carpet throughout. I left it up to her. She insists I take my shoes off at the door. No problem. I have poker over at our place next Saturday while she goes shopping and I don't want to seem like a "wimp" asking or insisting the guys take their shoes off? The Mrs. will be irate if there is anything on the carpet. Any thoughts?

Anonymous, why would you seem a 'wimp' for asking your friends to take off their shoes?

Surely a wimp would be afraid to ask them.

This is your house. You have the right to expect some respect from your guests.

Don't take any nonsense from wimps who think their feet will get cold.

God Bless
